The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners for the Village of Broadview is now accepting applications for the position of Entry Level Law Enforcement
Testing is being conducted for an immediate need to hire and to establish an Eligibility List and for future hiring.
Entry Level Officers starting at $78,364.12; pay will increase to $97,756.52 after first year.

Job Requirements:
You must meet the minimum requirements:

Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or an individual who has permanent resident status and is legally authorized to work in the United States. Must, under federal law, be authorized to obtain, carry, purchase or otherwise possess a firearm.

Driver’s License: Must possess a valid Driver’s License at the time of application and at time of hire.

Age Requirements: Applicants MUST have attained their 21st birthday by the last date for filing application (6/3/26). Applicants must be under the age of 35 years by the last day for filing applications (6/3/26) and at such time as the Eligibility List is posted, unless exempt by State Statute 65 IL 5/10-2.1-6., which provides in part that the age limitation does not apply to any person previously employed as a Certified (full-time) Law Enforcement Officer for a Municipality in the United States.

Education: Must have proof of High School Diploma, GED Certificate or High School Proficiency Statement.

Character: Must have no felony convictions and be of good moral character as described in State Statute 65 IL 5/10-2.1-6.

Residence: The Village of Broadview does not have a residency requirement at this time.

P.O.W.E.R. Card: Not needed to apply but must possess a valid P.O.W.E.R. Card at time of conditional offer of employment.
