The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners for the Village of Glenwood is now accepting applications for the position of Police Officer.
Testing is being conducted to establish an eligibility list for immediate and future department hiring needs.

EMPLOYEE BENEFITS:

Salary: $55,103.03 – $86,255.10 (CONTRACT CURRENTLY UNDER NEGOTIATIONS)

Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen

Driver’s License: Must possess a valid Driver’s License.

Age requirement: Applicants must have attained their 21st Birthday at the last date for filing applications 4/12/23. Applicants must be under the age of 35 years old at the last date of filing applications 4/12/23 and at the time the Final Eligibility Register is posted, unless they have been certified and employed as a full-time Police Officer for a municipality in the United States or are otherwise exempt by State Statute 65 IL 5/10-2.1-6.

Education: Must have proof of High School Diploma, GED Certificate or High School Proficiency Statement.

Character: Must have no felony convictions and be of good moral character as described in State Statute 65 IL 5/10-2.1-6.

P.O.W.E.R. Card: A POWER Card is not required to test but must possess by time of conditional offer of employment.

NO RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS

Vision: Correctable to 20/20 in both eyes.

Testing: Must be able to successfully complete all phases of testing.
